Well he's not been offered the captaincy here so if he came he'd probably have to put that on his back burner.

If "Kent don't fully trust Northeast's commitment to them" then why should Somerset trust him at all.

Besides, if he has strong England aspirations, he would be unwise to commit to Somerset.

Another suggestion to be thrown in the waste paper bin methinks.

A glass half - empty or a glass half - full?
Regardless, both glasses need filling up.

Northeast has only ever signed one, or at most two year deals with Kent.

I can well understand why Kent might want him to show faith and commitment, and prove he is in it for the long haul by signing a longer deal. If he won't show that commitment, let someone else captain.

He then goes off somewhere else in a huff.

They might trust his commitment because Somerset isn't Kent?

But if he has England aspirations we aren't the best place to go it's true.

Memorable moment of the 2017 season.

My first thought was in a white ball 50 overs match, as we know there are two balls used and the umpire keeps the ball in his pocket when bowling is from the other end.

Everybody was ready for the start of the over, batsmen fielders and bowler. The bowler started his run to deliver the first ball and just before his arm came over he stopped, the umpire signalled dead ball, the bowler turned to the umpire put his hand out and asked for the ball.

I wish I could remember who the bowler was, I liked his style.

Lewis Gregory's hundred in the Championship at Lord's. A 'Eureka!' moment. Hildreth, Abell, Davies, Gregory at 4-7 in 2018. Now if that quartet fired with the bat...

If we're talking about a Moment rather than an innings lasting four hours or so, Marcus' anticipatory catch moving round to leg-slip must be a strong contender.
Last season's might be Dom Bess's catch in the Warks match which started the collapse in which he went to to take 6/27, though if things had turned out slightly differently his push for two which raised 350 in the Notts game would also have been a strong contender.
