It appears we need a thread about players who will not be departing their counties, and I believe that a thread with the words 'going nowhere' in its title achieves that perfectly. Therefore, may I suggest that we use this thread to write about players who will indeed be going nowhere.

Two players going nowhere are fast bowler Tom Allin and all-rounder Steffan Piolet, who will remain at Warwickshire until 2013.

I have amended to start this as new thread. There is little value in digging up a 4 year old thread especially given some of the unpleasantness on it that reminds me of dark days on MTWD.

This is an interesting subject matter so keep it going starting from here.

In Splitting thread, JW's reference to David Masters signing to stay at Essex has been lost, so have made reference to it again here for those interested.

Will Smith has signed for another 2 years at Durham.

He was our 2nd highest run scorer last year despite missing a lot of early season matches. Top fielder too.

Chris Jordan and Matthew Spriegel have signed contracts for 2012 at Surrey.

Chris Schofield leaves Gasworks after 6 seasons.
He'll still do a good limited overs job for someone (not us)

Rob Key has been confirmed as Kent's captain for 2012, so clearly rumours of him leaving are untrue. It will be his seventh season in the role.

I suppose every cricketer in the world could get mentioned on this thread, as all are doing one or the other, unless they are retiring.

Tim Linley has extended his contract at Surrey until 2013.

Quote:
Jonathan Winsky on the Departures thread on 27th September
thecricketer.com report that Leicestershire have ... offered contracts to Ned Eckersley, Paul Dixey and Rob Taylor

Those players have all signed contracts. Rob Taylor has a summer contract for 2012, while Paul Dixey and Ned Eckersley will remain with Leicestershire until 2012 and 2013 respectively.
