Nearly time to start our plans folks.
First one for you,if heading to Worcestershire away in May,cheaper tickets on GWR services are nearly on offer.Give a week or so,don't forget, two singles are usually cheaper to purchase.
And,the game is in Whitsun week!

So the first county game draws ever closer.
Northampton....A train leaves London Euston on 5th April at 0849,arrives at Northampton at 0944,at moment using Virgin Trains website, the fare is £9 each way.
There are plenty of trains back.Dont forget, check to see if 2 singles are cheaper than a return.
The open return for this day,is £37.60 so a good saving.

Does anyone know anything about parking near the Worcestershire ground? I'm keen to avoid paying £10 per day to park at the ground, if possible, and I don't mind a walk if there's free street parking available within a decent radius.

From memory, and last time we played at New Road..if you drive past the ground (on left) there are plenty of residential roads just away from ground.
Malvern Road??
Not sure if restrictions are in place, but worth a look.

The T20 game at Cheltenham against Gloucestershire on July 25th is close to selling out. It is unusual for a Thursday game in being a 2.30 start.

Having attended the famous Ryan Higgins Tied match I can recommend Cheltenham heartily. A beautiful ground, great viewing, vocal yet friendly locals and a massive beer tent. What's not to like?

With the Detbyshire game next up,its a Sunday start, bringing different train times.
Only london station for departure is St Pancras, and the first train to leave there is at 0955,nothing before. This arrives at Derby at 1211,and either a cab,or walk to the ground.Return train leaves Detby at 1918,arrives St Pancras 2141.
Fare is £30 to Derby,£40 back,not cheapest way.Check out a day return.

Long way off yet folks, but, just a pre-warn for those thinking about Manchester, and staying over for our game vs Lancashire in September.
The Tues or Weds that week is the first group stages of the Champions league, and one of the Manchester clubs will be at home, hotel prices will go up a lot for the football,as will train fares,so,get in quick if considering a few days at our game.

When Middlesex play Sussex in a Twenty20 match at Uxbridge on Saturday 24th August, there will be no Metropolitan line service between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill and no Piccadilly line service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane. But the good news is that TfL’s website shows that the rest of their network is not scheduled to be disrupted that day! I suppose that those who wish to avoid the replacement bus service will have to make their way to West Ruislip or West Drayton and get a U1 bus, which is actually useful, as it runs close to the ground, and therefore saves people from the walk between the ground and Uxbridge station. However, the U1 is usually single-decker, so it would not cope as well as a double-decker bus if there is a large demand for this service.

The appetite for people to attend this match was already under threat due to the football season having started by that point, which means that I will not attend. Therefore, the aforementioned disruption on the Underground is an additional blow. However, if Middlesex enter what will be the 12th match of their campaign in the rare position of their chances of achieving a high finish in their group looking good, then that will work in the favour of those hoping for a high attendance.

Lower Mound says that a different venue for the match should be found, but I can't see that appending.

Although there will be no London Overground service between Watford Junction and Euston via Willesden Junction on Sunday 4th August and no Metropolitan line service between Wembley Park and Aldgate on Sunday 11th August, I am confident I will nonetheless be able to get to Middlesex’s matches at Richmond and Radlett on those respective days. The Bakerloo line will still run on 4th August and the Jubilee line will still run on 11th August.
