Cook Guides England to Series Win

England one day captain Alastair Cook hit a superb 112 as he led his side to a convincing Oval 8 wicket win, to wrap a series win over the West Indies....
Having won the toss on a clear day for once, Cook had no hesitation in asking the West Indies to bat first, although that was frought with danager given Chris Gayle was included in the visiting line up.
Gayle wasted no time in proving his inclusion was the right call, with five towering sixes in his blistering 53, but apart from Darren Bravo (77), the West Indies stuttered along to 238-9 from their 50 overs.
It was never going to be enough on a good batting track, as Cook and Ian Bell (53) put on 122 for the first wicket for England.
Even when both openers had fallen, there were no major scares for England as they eased home to clinch the three match series.
