England have won their slightly delayed opening warm up T20 match in New Zealand, with captain Stuart Broad taking a hat trick, as the visitors won by 46 runs....

After rain put paid to the match yesterday, a New Zealand XI met England again to give the visitors some much needed practice ahead of the opening International T20 game on Saturday 9th February.

And it was Jos Butler and Eoin Morgan who starred with the bat, with the Somerset wicketkeeper batsman smashing 57 from just 24 balls, as he and Morgan (48) took England to 186 for 3 from their 20 overs.

The hosts were then pegged back by Chris Woakes (3-27) and Jade Dernbach (3-24), before skipper Stuart Broad took a hat trick by skittling out three late order batsmen.

The New Zealand side were all out for 140 as England started well on their opening match of the tour.
