44 Players in total... is this OVERKILL or a great opportunity to create bench strength so Indian cricket will be well served in the foreseeable future?

Interesting that the Selectors have NOT picked the TEST squad for England.... guess they want to assess these 44 and then pick the BEST squad.

Good to see that Rohit Sharma has been dropped from the TEST squad for Afghanistan match...

I am really looking forward to this match..

If the pitch is somewhat spin friendly...will be interesting to see how Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Zadran, and Mohammad Nabi go... At least the first two were phenomenal in IPL 2018....

Yep Selectors picked squad for only first three Tests... then tweaked it for the last two... keeping in mind the form of some of the others...

Good to see Prithvi Shaw in the squad. Somewhat surprised by pick of Hanuma Vihari... would have thought India would have picked another spinner, since they dropped Kuldeep.

Maybe Amit Mishra, or Axar Patel, or Yazuvendra Chahal... Shaw for Vijay makes sense...
