Johnson Gets Call For Bangla' Tour

After several days of deliberation since Lancashire seamer Anderson withdrew from the first part of the tour with a knee injury, the selectors named Johnson as the final player in their 15-man squad.

Johnson's call-up represents a major turnaround in recent fortunes.

After making an impressive Test debut at the start of the last summer against Durham at Chester-le-Street - claiming the man-of-the-match award for his six-wicket haul - he was ruled out for most of the summer with his own knee trouble.

Johnson has been called up ahead of other candidates such as Sussex's James Kirtley - still battling to overcome the shin splints problem which ruled him out of the final Test against South Africa - and Martin Bicknell, whose selection at the age of 34 could have been regarded as a backward step.
