Here it is- the news that all England fans were expecting, but didn't want to here. Michael Vaughan is set to miss Englands tour of Australia later this year.

Last summer, Vaughan became the 1st England captain since Mike Gatting in 1987 to lift the Urn, but has played very little cricket since. A brief come-back for Yorkshire last month was halted through injury, and now, at the age of 31, doubts have been voiced as to whether Vaughan will ever play Test cricket again. This news has helped to cement Australia as firm favourites for the series, with odds available on England now as long as 4-1
