Proctor Gamble proves un Productive

Barmy Kev returns from his vacation to give a view from his garden. He nearly broke his washing line , but then settles down as day meandered on as our season reaches a thrilling climax 

Most of you know that I've been in Canada for 2 weeks. I left day 2 at Edgbaston and returned home Day 4 Lanky game. Fortunately wi-fi was readily available everywhere overseas and had regular updates by text. It was a great holiday but was regularly distracted by our progress in all 3 away matches, which I would have attended had I been around.  

Being short of a day 4 reporter I thought I'd do the honours for today's play, obviously a KH view is best I can offer. At 6-4 to Lanky in a previous life, I thought unlikely to be needed.  In fact my thoughts then were how many bonus points needed on day 1 or 2 of Yorkie game to secure the shhh. 

I arrive back from Canada 7.30 in morning little sleep on plane and really could do without issues regarding this game that could be pivotal in our season. With unseasonal warm temperature here returning from a hot climate, it was not a problem doing outdoor chores while listening to KH.  Hanging washing out was nervy the line nearly collapsed when Buttler dropped an early sharp chance. Rest of morning the mundane duties were more relaxing as we are playing safe with no alarms. Many tweets suggesting we need to gamble, hit out and declare at lunch. Point made even if we lose we are still top and if win we are virtually there. Hearing Sorry were 1-2 made no difference to my tension. After all Yorkie fans were cheering for Lanky.

There was talk about this worrying new structure and a statement from Middlesex. Put it down to jet lag but I completely lost the plot. Meanwhile in words of KH we were “sedately|” moving on making game safe.

After lunch more discussions on structure of game which I became bored with. I'm concerned with the now. We did push on,  lost a wicket not bothered as TRJ promoted 6 and out. A few lusty hits off of Proctor we are now setting something up and like the commentators thought we had a chance if we declare soon.    Declaration made 40 + overs to get 309..

Fortunately I fell asleep as Buttler was slogging, but I kept hearing references to that game at Taunton with a similar target we somehow won. Once Buttler out it was frankly boring as Lanky shut up shop.

Morgan available for the Middle, will he play in Yorkshire game? Hmm

Consensus was we need to beat Yorkshire . I was able to work out if bonus points favourable we can get away with draw if even if Zzzzumerset win.    

Regardless a tense week is guaranteed.
