Beefy reports on a good day for the Middle , with a collapsed boat, various liquid intake and a loose squirrel

Journey to ground.  Protesters block Cardiff city centre and there is boat moored by Cardiff castle.    Not sure what is going on?

White goes first ball of the over after the last over from yesterday is completed. Toby doesn't last long 219-7 now.

Phil Catchpole sees advert, it says Celtic Pride Premium Welsh Beer, He thought it showed Penguin Welsh Beef which we thought was funny. This is now called the Penguin End.

50 partnership up in no time with, most of Helm’s runs off the edge. Talk of declaration and Seaxe Man said a lead of a “monkey” (500) looks possible Helm is caught and bowled a very sharp catch that nobody saw, 259-8

Robson reaches 100.  Next ball Rabbit is out for 3 its 266-8 as we edge towards the monkey. Murts slow to appear, we think he was watching the world cup highlights.

Murts crashes the ball for 4 runs, as we reach our lead of a monkey. Murts crashes 3 consecutive fours.  Heading towards a lead of a monkey and a pony. Will it be declare at lunch? During extra half an hour Murts out and the whole ground including the Middle cheer. Glammy only need 556 to win

Just leaving the Black Pig for a liquid lunch, 6 without loss that's Glamorgan not the beer intake

Turkey Mark spots a squirrel on the field by River Taff sightscreen. Soon its 36-1 over rate is -4

It's hot here in the Taff end and they have sold out of ice cream, so I buy a bottle of water instead an unusual move for me. It’s slow stuff 2 overs to tea 92-1

Police helicopter buzzing about demonstrators and boat probably still moored outside the castle. It’s hard to watch the cricket.Beefy comment as Toby takes ball Come on Toby we need one, the dangerous Labuschagne goes lbw for 51,its 106-2. Players and Middle fans have woken up a bit and the chitchat returns.

It’s still hard work until the Rabbit snares one from the penguin end, Lloyd gone lbw 19 its 141-3
Can just about make out the scoreboard with it's small font!

A cluster of wickets. Glam collapsing like the boat ( there were no casualties there)
Stumps and its 171-6, with over rate -2

During this afternoon Murts claimed his 800th career wicket

We return tomorrow expecting an afternoon of tourism before we catch our pre booked evening train.
