West Indies in Spot of Visa Bother

The West Indies were glad that the opening day of the tour match with Sussex was washed out in Hove, as news broke that two of their touring party had been held up by visa problems, to go alongside injury concerns with fast bowler, Fidel Edwards... 

It meant the tourists were only able to name eleven players for the opening bout of the tour, however the rain meant that no play was possible on the opening day of three against the south coast side.

Narsingh Deonarine and Assad Fudadin await visa clearance for the West Indies, to go alongside the back injury to fast bowler, Fidel Edwards, which is yet to clear up.

It is also understood that Marlon Samuels is late joining the touring party, due to his stint in the IPL.

Captain Darren Sammy tried to explain things to the BBC "We have 12 guys here right now, and I think the other three are coming in later this evening."

"It's a little bit to do with visas. They're going to be here, and they're not missing anything right now."

"We've not named our XI. They're batsmen, so they could come in and play straight away." He concluded.
