Pope to understudy

Former Gloucestershire wicket keeper Steven Pope will be understudy to John Batty for the 2006 season. After Andy Hodd rejoined Sussex, Surrey have not had a back up wicket keeper.

Steven will be around in the early season, but it is undecided whether he will be at Surrey long term.
