Because he's been banned from accountancy for 15 years over the BHS audit - as noted on this site a week or two ago

Perhaps he will be replaced by Boris Johnson.
Especially, after what he said at Chequers on Friday about polishing up t---s.

He failed the ECB Fit and Proper Person test, being suspended by the financial authorities over the BHS audit

I would expect Colin Graves to have a suitable replacement to recommend to Yorkshire. (TIC)

I'm sure Colin Graves couldn't possibly comment. The Graves family trusts, who have a right of veto over those who join or leave the Yorkshire board, and to whom Yorkshire are in debt to the tune of some £20M on the other hand...

Lots of people seem to be sad about this on Twitter.
Isn't the man banned from accountancy because of inappropriate conduct during the BHS audit?
He's therefore not fit to do the job he was being asked to because of past actions - so does it matter how nice a man he was in person?
The same twitter accounts were sad that Steve Smith had to play in Canada when he was such a talented cricketer and international cricket was missing him. Such a nice guy.
Smith is a cheat - proven and admitted. He's lucky he is playing anywhere and he is lucky he can come back and make up for his conduct in a year's time. Sod his talent.
Azzuradhin(?) was a talented cricketer but he was a crook. Cronje was a talented cricketer but he was a crook. Funny levels of what is seen as acceptable behaviour if you are a 'nice bloke'. Trump doesn't seem to be the only one operating on strange moral guidelines.
