I see Surrey are again at war with the ECB, after voting against the format of 'The Hundred'. Good for them.

This article is behind a paywall, but the headline gives the drift of things....

"The decision would affect Kent, who were set to jointly manage the Oval-based franchise with Surrey"

Have I missed something? I thought these franchises-that-aren't-actually-franchises were said to be independently run. Another Ste towards the big counties swallowing up the little counties in pursuit of the ECB's grand Master Eight plan

That's what we were told. Not sure how they are organised or even if the ECB have finalised it themselves. So much for the policy of not upsetting the ECB. Shame we aren't on that side of the debate.

Although I've not read the full article, it is surprising Bristol is mentioned as alternative given its proximity to Cardiff This really does smack of two fingers to the more rural counties

Didn’t think Indian players were available for any tournament outside of the IPL anyway

Can't see a flood of Pakistani or Bangladeshi players filling the gap either given the work permit problems. All of it may up in the air of course if we leave the EU because the whole Kolpak issue may be a problem as well

I'm sure many on here will know Martin Baldock "Dusty" to most. He has become an overnight internet sensation leading a crowd rendition of Sweet Caroline during the rain frustration in Grenada. I don't seem able to post a link here but googling his name will reveal all. Close on a million views already!

I share your disappointment at my inexcusable lapse. I can only plead that my over-excitement at the brilliance of that innings led to a loss of concentration.

Sorry, have I missed the T20 pedigree of Joe Denly? Though he has just got a wicket.
