In another attempt to claim the superiority of out grounds to some more central locations, is anyone able to confirm how "our" announcer managed to pronounce the surname of Glamorgan's 50 - maker, first name Marnus.
At our Royal London game earlier in the year, the Lord's announcer managed, "......................" - No, it would be wrong to spoil it.
If anyone there could phonetically write it, please?

Excellent Darren . Stirlo propelled up and down the order by the previous regime may have found his niche at five as his best score last year of 77 was also at five. A modest man he deserved the standing ovation he got on his dismissal as he returned to the pavilion.

Another player who has a name where the correct pronunciation is different to how many people pronounce it is Dawid Malan judging by how he pronounces his surname in his profile on Middlesex’s YouTube page:
