Given our issues with catching, it's worth noting that Simpson dived right across Eski for van Buuren's dismissal, which turned a standard catch into a very good one.

Delighted to see Toby bowling so well again. You don't just bin your best players if they are struggling after an injury.

Eski's experience as a good stand in keeper must assist with his slip catching, hence why he is at 1st slip.

We need to be positive. So, I hope George goes for his shots and takes the initiative.

Maybe the bowling success will feed into Toby's batting. Hope so!

I think 250 as a total is a winning score, taking the first innings deficit into account, but whether we can make that is entirely another question.

As you say,George Scott is coming through as a good county player,and think we will see a lot more of him.
And,as every game vs the Shire recently..Higgo enjoys playing against us!
