We already know that Sako is expected to go and Kevin Doyle, Leon Clark (why we signed him I will never know) and Jake Cassidy already on their way. However we don't know who else will follow them or who will be coming in to replace them. If you find or hear of any information please post it in this thread. Thanks.

We are apparently one of two Championship clubs tracking Mansfield Town teenager Jack Thomas.

It did occur that after Sako goes, and we cash in Afobe, we could be in big trouble by the end of, oh, September, at which time Steve bends to the baying mob and sadly, reluctantly shoves our under-resourced pal Kenny out the door.
The pattern is a familiar one.
However the truly worrying thing is that Kenny Jacket seems to be able to get players (like Afobe) who have worked with him before to join his teams. So in the doomsday scenario he recruits half of our 'star' players to Leyton or the Dons or whichever glamour club he joins, with predictable results.
You heard it here first.

Derik Osede of Real Madrid B is said to be on our radar however Southampton, Leicester, Burnley, Watford, Nottingham Forest and Bolton are also looking.

Wolves are eyeing up Guinea international attacker Abdoul Camara as a potential replacement for Bakary Sako, who will soon leave the club.
Sako has yet to decide his future, but is out-of-contract and thought to be heading either to the Premier League or for a new challenge overseas.
Camara, two years younger at 25, would cost Wolves around £1million from French second-tier side Angers and holds a European passport.

I cant be doing with all this transfer speculation..
I remember a couple of seasons ago it got totally out of hand and somebody,s next door neighbours auntie was saying she heard a rumour in the local café.
Im all for excitement surrounding new transfers but the future for Wolves is all follows for the foreseeable future..... if we can sign somebody young and cheap we will go for it... if not we will be told a pack of lies... end of chapter.

Wolves could face a battle to keep hold of captain Danny Batth, should Sunderland retain their place in the Premier League for another season.
Batth is currently sidelined with a fractured foot and won't be fit again until well into pre-season, but that isn't deterring the Black Cats.

I think we would let him go if the right price came in for him Badge. Talking with an ST holder recently, he reckoned Danny was the weak link in our defence, slow & prone to mistakes. With Iorfa & Ebanks Landell available as ready made replacements a good offer would probably be worth considering.

You say let him go if " the price is right " Cheshire but sadly Bruce Forsythe isn't conducting proceedings in the centre circle.. would there be any point making an argument for selling anyone for a specific fee as we have a track record of not reinvesting the money anyway?

He had his poor moments last season but was still one of the best players last season. A chap who sits in front of me spent the whole of the season bar the last two games slating Stearman who went on to win our top two awards. The last two games he spent slating Iorfa.

Bluebirds striker Joe Mason has already been linked with a £3million move to Molineux, but Whittingham could also emerge as a target.
The Nuneaton-born midfielder has spent eight years with Cardiff but, at age 30, may fancy moving back to his roots after their poor season.
His club will fight to keep both him and Mason, though, so Wolves will have to splash the cash if they are to tempt the club into selling.

Wolves might be back on the trail of Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, who may well be on the move from Selhurst Park now the season is over.
The 24-year-old cost the Eagles £6million from Peterborough United in the summer of 2013 and has scored 18 goals in 54 games for the club.
But Gayle has often found himself either out-of-favour or pushed out of the striking berth under boss Alan Pardew, with Glenn Murray preferred as a lone forward.
He still has two years left on his contract, though, so will command a significant transfer fee and wage package. That may not deter Wolves or Bournemouth, who have also been linked.

We have proven we cant compete with the financial might of Bournmeouth when they were in the championship cant imagine we will have much chance now.
Anyhow when was the last time the E&S broke a transfer story that came true.

I enjoyed the story in the Express and Star linking us with Gayle. Firstly Bournemouth are interested, so we might as well declare ourselves out now but then it also says that Palace would want to recoup most of the £6m they paid for him and that we wouldn't be prepared to match his 20k a week wages, so on every level this is a none starter. We might as well say we are interested in Ronaldo, as if you aren't going to compete with other clubs, pay what the selling club wants and not pay the going rate in wages then signing Ronaldo is just about as realistic as getting someone like Gayle. But then again, Morgan did pay Danny Graham's wages for a fortnight so that proves he'd pay the going rate over a 4 year contract haha.

We won't be able to compete with the likes of Brentford in the transfer market so probably best to forget about the "Iraqi pirlo" and focus on a Romanian Ronaldo type player.. one that's free and prepared to play for food stamps and a visa. We're already into June and despite assurances from many about the club learning its lesson and recruiting players early we have a 4th division kid no ones heard of signed for £3.50 ..does anyone believe there will be much more to come? The excuse this summer is we have been gazumped by Huddersfield for our "talent recruiter" so it made life more difficult but let's not forget there is always the loan window later this year and if that fails................... January.

Wolves have rejected a £1.5 mill offer from Fulham for Stearman according to E&S. They also state Sako wants to join Everton but Leicester City have offered a better contract so looks to be going there.

Swansea City midfielder and club legend Leon Britton has been linked with possible moves to Championship sides Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I suggested Britton on here a couple of weeks ago but at 32 I'd suspect he'll get plenty of interest in the Championship and possibly one or two in the Premier and we all know that if there's ever any competition from a club higher up the ladder than Walsall, we generally can't compete.

A poster called Papper said he would stop attending if we ever paid £30k a week to a player while we are in the Champ. I don't read other clubs forums but surely there's not another set of fans so obsessed with wages.

Club employees I think you mean AT. When we signed that no hoper from Portsmouth people were suggesting it was a "move forward" making early moves in the transfer market but as usual we are being left behind again. Anything under the age of 25 is deemed to be young and hungry with a point to prove which is the biggest mythology since Egyptian hieroglyphics were on cave walls depicting the sun being dragged across the sky by headless horsemen..as you said a few weeks ago people believing that the club strategy of young players is anything revolutionary contrary to hoping cheap and nasty garbage comes good is laughable. For every Kightly there are a dozen James Tanks, Leon Clarkes who are in the lower leagues for a reason...they're fcking sh.it!

yeh, its getting beyond a joke, derby sign bent and ince and we get these two. plus there's more of our players being linked with leaving than there is coming in, we've lost sako so were already weaker than last season

Wolves are interested in Charlton Athletic winger Calum Harriott as a potential replacement for Bakary Sako, but face competition from other clubs in the Championship.
The 21-year-old is unhappy at the Valley after falling down the pecking order, since the arrival of Guy Luzon as manager in January, and has a year left on his contract.

sako still not left and interestingly after a poster suggested paying Sako a signing on fee, admittedly over inflated to keep him North west wanderer ( club employee who supports united) would be " mad" if that happened. Papper also in full flow, another with connections to the club, whenever cards need placing on seats, he's the go to guy to get a group of volunteers together. I think his suggestion of a 40k offer was a p#ss take as he also says "Surprised given his genius that some of the top clubs haven't come in for him.", so he's clearly out to run him down and make out we don't need him. Then when someone says we'll miss him more than people think, the Man Utd fan pops up again to say "we'll be fine without him".

Wolves could try and bring Jamie Paterson back to the West Midlands to fill the void left by Bakary Sako's departure from Molineux this summer.

Apparently he scored a "worldy" against us at molineux last season.. it seems to be a pattern of wolves transfers, the magic brains of the scouts get together asking each other who they will sign. Remember that guy who scored against us a year or so back from Northampton in the league cup? See if we can sign him. Coady scored against us "get him in" . I suppose it saves plane and train fares to watch players away from Wolverhampton, let potential recruits weave their magic here and if they score add em to the target list.

Much talk on the huddersfield forum about his "potential" rather than current ability which is a common theme with players we buy hoping they step up. Given that the emphasis is on potential I doubt the fee is anywhere near 2 million with people guessing on an "undisclosed fee again" which will no doubt rise or fall depending on how well he does by official club PR. I don't have an opinion on him either way and would suggest any wolves fan that does is simply consulting Wikipedia or football manager video games unless they are closet Huddersfield town season ticket holders. I doubt any fan on the mix for example talking about him "being young with a point to prove" like Stefan has seen him kick a ball in their life bar his fleeting appearance against us.

The Woods fee was apparently just over a million upfront despite the screeching masses on the mix saying they could understand why we wouldn't match Cardiffs 3 million bid. Fed up of hearing these undisclosed bids boosted up to an absurd amount of money to fit the money is there agenda brigade. All we ever hear about was the 2 million fee for Afobe which like Woods was undisclosed as was Coady whoever he is from the mighty Huddersfield Town.. what odds the two players cost less than 2 million put together upfront with the rest potential add ons depending on promotion etc. Penk and other luminaries on the cabbage forums are stating that Afobe is on 9 grand a week and given they are likely to over emphasise fees on the high side, its likely the two transfers together including wages are absolute chicken feed for a club with our gate receipts and parachute payments still coming in. Once again this summer we are one of the lowest spenders in the championship and being torn a new @#$%& by the likes of Brentford but is anyone really surprised. Probably best to hope we get the Telford keeper by breaking our wage structure and close the thread till January.

Not sure why we have the negativity with our new signing enroute from Wolverhampton train station. Thelwell has been asked by Morgan to find someone who fits "the wolves way" .. cheap , nasty with " a point to prove" . Overcoming the loss of two legs with a mission to prove doubters wrong, our Sako replacements wage demands have now been officially formalised during a summer negotiating bone size and kennel accomodation.

The Dons have recently been promoted to the second tier and believe that Evans could be a vital part of their midfield, having lost young prodigy Dele Alli to Spurs.
Kenny Jackett is looking closely at Norwich City's Gary O'Neil as he looks to add some bite and depth to the midfield before the start of the season.
The ex-Portsmouth and Middlesbrough stalwart has plenty of experience getting out of the Championship, having been promoted with three different clubs.

You'd think by the law of averages we would be able to sign some cheap and cheerful bum looking to play for free in order to compliment our signing from bankrupt pompey and Coady. Surely going down the criminal route may be an option... not breaking laws but why not contact local community service centres for young and hungry ( hopefully not crims convicted of cannibalism ) lads so convicted felons can serve their time playing for us. I doubt we would have to pay their wages, we would give competition to existing players and be doing our bit for the community which Morgan clearly enjoys with his youth clubs / schools/ houses. Whether the FA would allow them to play with their ankle tags on and potential dangers in the tackle would be an issue but bring them in ffs, the more the merrier

Apparently we are now looking at the "wonder kid" from Northampton, Ivan Toney. Failed a medical with us last year so must have made some sort of miraculous recovery.

I can see it going through, Morgan will be looking to recoup the 150 grand on the pompey player and go somewhat to cover the Coady fee. I've never liked Henry much tbh but it leaves us light on numbers... still whats new.

Wolves would never pay his wages being one of the lowest payers in the championship these days. Always amazes me when people label McDonald as a "mercenary" when he could probably double his pitiful Morgan salary elsewhere.. who in their right mind wouldn't want to do that? He's isn't a fan and wants to earn as much as possible like any footballer for himself and his family and if we don't pay what other clubs do we will be left with signings like Wallace from pompey.

All players are after the money bar a very small number badge, if you had a job offer paying you double what you are on for eg you'd leave. Wolves are notoriously low payers, we managed to out pay league one Sheff utd with our millions of parachute payments but we cant compete with most championship clubs under Morgan for players. Imagine how it will be next season once the parachute payments run out.. kiss goodbye to Afobe and others to as Moxey says " cut the cloth accordingly"

I think yesterday's game exposed a lot of people's predictions from this board.
Lack of investment.
Lack of depth for the squad.
Over expectation for some players.
Its safe to say that all transfer targets have been met , acquired or failed.
More the latter I believe.
That somebody at the club is now panicking.
See Jacketts interview after the game.
No coach Lays into a squad publicly pre season.
So any strategy has been ripped up , and I think any football strategy is being over ruled.
Can't think of two people who that could be.

they were all relying to much on the kids plus morgan doesn't like parting with his money. the squads down to its bare bones and is simply not good enough. i said it would backfire on them and it has

Seen a kid recently playing in Bantock Park, apparently we were interested but he signed for the local non league team instead, he said the prospects were better !!!!
