Hodge's 91 steers Durham to victory

Brad Hodge steered Durham Dynamos to a seven-wicket Norwich Union League win over Nottinghamshire Outlaws. The Australian made an unbeaten 91 to ensure the Dynamos cruised passed their winning target of 230 with over four overs to spare. He struck 11 fours in his 105-ball stay.
| Notts pair Darren Bicknell and Usman Afzaal had earlier lit-up Trent Bridge with a 145-run opening stand - Bicknell made 64 and Afzaal 75. Dynamos skipper Nicky Phillips took three for 39 as the Outlaws fell away to 229 for six. Afzaal's 50 came in the 20th over, crafted in some style off 74 balls, while Bicknell's came a short while later off 63 deliveries. But Afzaal went in the 30th for 75 with the score on 145, adjudged run out following Gary Pratt's throw to namesake and wicketkeeper Andrew that appeared to hit the base of the stumps. Bicknell followed in disappointing fashion next over, looping one up to Gary Pratt at extra cover off skipper Phillips to leave Notts on 155 for two. Durham opener Ashley Thorpe later registered his maiden first-class one-day half-century, his 53 coming off 57 balls.
