Caddick: We Gave It All We Could

The match is petering towards a draw after India closed on 315 for four when bad light lopped six overs off the scheduled day's play.

Once again it was Rahul Dravid who held Nasser Hussain's men and he had got the tourists in need of just a single to avoid the follow-on with a majestic, unbeaten 131.

"On that kind of wicket we did everything we could," said Caddick.

"Sometimes you have to sit back and wait for the Indians to make a move and they have not tried to dictate the game at all."

Caddick is yet to find top form since returning from an intercostal injury in the previous Test at Headingley, but the Somerset paceman reckons he is up to '95 per cent' and prepared to let any flak fly past him.

He said: "I have dealt with that before and I will deal with it again, I am not bothered what people say about me.

"If I have a bad game I have a bad game, if someone wants to come and take my spot let them come and take my spot.

"It's the first injury I have had for seven years so I am having to deal with it and I feel back on the straps.

"Conditions haven't been ideal, it's been a bit blustery out there and it hasn't swung, maybe with a bit of cloud cover and some more warmth on Sunday it will swing around."
