Man Of The Series
In keeping with the majority of the votes on the website's poll (44%),
michael Vaughan gets our vote as the man of the series.
"Vaughanie" proved this summer what a great player he is fast becoming,
showing great strength against all types of bowling.
In the India series he averaged a brilliant 102.50, with two scores in the
190s, another hundred and a half century. Added to that, he also pocketed
3 catches and 4 important wickets at 30 apiece with his useful part-time
off-spinners.
It will be interesting to see how Vaughan, and his opening partner
Trescothick, handle the challenge of a long Ashes series away from home
this winter. But, based on this summer's form, Vaughan should have no
problems.
