Signings don't come as Semple as this

Lincoln City have signed Peterborough United right sided midfielder, Ryan Semple for an undisclosed transfer fee. The young player has spent his entire career at London Road but City have capitalised on Peterborough's desperation to sign former Imps' striker Simon Yeo.

Semple signed his contract on the pitch just minutes before the kick off of the 3-3 draw at home to Leicester in the pre-season friendly and he will now spend the next 2 years at Sincil Bank. He is the first player to make the move from London Road to Sincil Bank since Francis Green made the same move just under 3 years ago for £25,000.

The midfielder, who once almost signed for Manchester United has been handed the number 23 shirt. City are also now believed to have given Peterborough United permission to sign ex-Imp, Simon Yeo.
