Tigers take Bacon on loan

Lincoln City's fringe striker, Danny Bacon has been loaned out to struggling Conference North side, Worksop Town. The striker has featured just once for the Imps this season and with regular strike duo Jamie Forrester and Mark Stallard doing well, Bacon's City career could be over.

Along with rookie goalkeeper Ayden Duffy and much like Steve Robinson last season, Bacon has joined Worksop for a month's loan and will be disappointed that he didn't get a recall to the first team after the injury sustained in the opening game against Notts County. After featuring regularly throughout the season, Bacon featured in the 1-1 draw with Notts County but was injured and hasn't featured since, falling behind Jamie Forrester, Mark Stallard, Martin Gritton and Ollie Ryan in the pecking order.

It is his second loan out to the non-league since joining the Imps just over a year ago. Last season he joined Burton Albion but broke his leg early on and this loan out is Bacon's 3rd transfer into non-league after joining Hucknall from Mansfield. Despite being just 26, it appears unlikely he'll ever play regular football league football.
