City finally recieve some good news

Lincoln City have finally recieved some good news with John Deehan revealing that Nicky Eaden will return on Thursday. The defender left Sincil Bank just a month ago and since then, the Imps have seriously gone downhill and City are struggling to stay in the automatic promotion places.

Eaden, who has been promoted with every club he has played for permanently other than Nottingham Forrest, initially joined Sincil Bank in time for the home game against Accrington Stanley and failed to impress a lot of fans before having his deal renewed, after which he turned in some great performances before returnting to Forest. In his initial time with the club, he was involved in 10 games, City won 7 of those and lost the other 3.

Since he left however, City have won just once and lost the other 3, that win could have easily been a defeat also if Swindon's strikers could hit a barn door. In this time, City have struggled with injuries and have been forced to fill the subs bench with youngsters who aren't good enough and starting Leon Mettam last Saturday just proves how our team is extremely lacking in quality back up.

Speaking to the Lincolnshire Echo, Imps' director of football, John Deehan revealed that he is also looking to bring in several other players of similar experience before Thursday's loan deadline.

"As we had arranged, Nicky Eaden will rejoin us on Thursday, which is a major boost. When he was with us earlier in the season, his distribution was excellent, and when Lee Beevers moved across to the centre of defence, he made the right-back spot his own. We possibly need more players with his experience in the squad."

Eaden is expected to be put straight into the starting line-up for Saturday's match at Wrexham.
