Nottingham Forest striker joins on loan

Lincoln City have announced that Nottingham Forest striker, Spencer Weir-Daly will join the Imps on loan on Monday. After having a successful trial period of the last few weeks, the striker has joined for 3 months and will make his debut against the side he played for against the Imps.

Weir-Daly was in the Macclesfield side that lost at Sincil Bank on September 12th as goals from Scott Kerr and Lee Beevers were the difference. He impressed a few City fans but I'll be honest, I didn't actually see him do anything except for run and put and few bad crosses into the box. With his loan starting on Monday, it will be antipated that for a second time in his career, he will make his debut for a team against Macclesfield, after making he debut for the former European Champions in a 3-2 defeat in the Carling Cup to the Silkmen last season.

Weir-Daly's goal scoring record isn't the best but hopefully he'll provide cover for the current strikers at the club, and let's face it, he can't be any worse than Ollie Ryan.
