Quartet told they can leave

4 Lincoln City players have been told they can leave the club after clocking up just 1 appearance between them this year. Out of the 4, only Danny Bacon has played for City this season, whereas regular first teamers last year, Luke Foster and Gary Birch haven't even made the bench.

Danny Bacon has spent most of the season on loan at Worksop where he is expected to sign for on a permanent basis. Gary Birch has been shipped out to teams such as Tamworth, and Hucknall this year as he has tries to recover from a knee injury sustained whilst on loan at the Staffordshire side. Luke Foster found semi-regular football with York City whereas Jamie Sherlock has even been dropped from the reserves.

It will come as a blow to both Foster and Birch, both of whom made several appearances for the club last year and haven't even featured on the bench for City. The inclusion of Jamie Sherlock in the quartet is of little surprise to anyone as he has yet to even make it onto the bench since joining back in March.

All 4 are expected to drop into the non-league.
