City going to Hull to get Bridges?

Lincoln City could be set to sign Hull City striker Michael Bridges on loan after John Schofield confirmed he'd made a bid. Recent internet speculation was finally confirmed today as the Echo reported that Schofield had made an enquiry to the Tigers to sign the striker.

Bridges spent several years recovering from injury before Carlisle took the risk of plucking him from Bristol City. His contribution to the team turned Carlisle from seemingly also-rans in the playoff race, to a team that ended up winning the league. He scored 15 goals in his 31 games for Carlisle, 3 of which came in his 7 game loan spell before the Cumbrian's made it permanent.

He started this season less impressively, failing to score for the Cumbrians before a £350,000 move to Hull City. He scored just twice in his first 12 matches before being dropped in December, playing his last game in the Tiger's 2-1 home defeat to Leicester.

If he does join the Imps on loan, it could be considered something of a coup for City and would give us a very threatening look to our attack.
