Reserves suffer late equaliser against Darlo

Lincoln City Reserves drew 1-1 with Darlington after a late header from Collins restored parity in a pretty even game. Mettam opened the scoring for the Imps in first half's added on time, but it was to prove to be one of just a few shots on target during the whole game for either side.

The first half of the game was generally controlled by Darlington, but they couldn’t find the back of the net with Rayner making one or two good saves. Just after the 4^th official announced that there would be a minute of injury time, Leon Mettam picked up the ball about 25 yards out, jinxed past a few defenders before his shot from 12 yards took a deflection before entering the net, it was City’s first shot on target.

The second half was a more mixed affair, but midway through Darlington drew level when Patrick Collins tapped in a corner on the edge of the 6 yard area, despite being in the middle of a crowded box. Darlington substitute Oliver Moss then hit the bar following another corner.
