It's a case of one in, one out at Sincil Bank

Lincoln City today secured the services of Peter Holmes on loan. However, fellow loanee Spencer Weir-Daley has left City. Nottingham Forest recieved an offer for a loan until the end of the season for Spencer, and decided it would be more beneficial for him to play in a higher division.

Weir-Daley joined the Imps from Forest earlier in the season, making his debut in the Imps defeat at Macclesfield, ironically a team that he had played for on loan previous. He went on to help the Imps maintain a push for automatic promotion, including both goals in the victory at Walsall. However, he has failed to start a game after the win at Walsall, coming on as a substitute several times. During his time with the Imps he scored 4 goals.

On loan deadline day however, he left City as Forest agreed to loan him out to Bradford City. It was later revealed at the fans forum that Weir-Daley had been offered a contract by City for next season, and offer that was rejected by the player.

In his place City have signed a midfielder, Peter Holmes, on loan from Championship strugglers Luton Town. In a similar way to Niall McNamara, he was released by the club before signing another contract with them a few months later. His first team chances have been extremely limited at Luton. He will go straight into the squad to face Swindon on Sunday.
