Either/Or...Where will we go next season?

In our recent round up of the differing class in grounds between League One and Two, we take a look at one of the longest trips possible for Imps fans, and a virtually guaranteed 3 points at another ground. The two grounds in question are the new Liberty Stadium of Swansea City FC, and the less than glamourous Underhill of Barnet FC.

IF WE GO UP TO LEAGUE ONE

THE LIBERTY STADIUM

Capacity 20,500

The Liberty Stadium is the new top-of-the-range home of Swansea City Football Club. They left The Vetch Field at the end of the 2004/5 season, winning promotion to mark they're departure from that ground. They have had two relatively good years at the Liberty Stadium, reaching the playoff last season and only just missing out this term.

Lincoln have never visited this stadium, but it is one of the many decent reasons to win promotion to League One this term, the only ground that rivals it in League 2 is Darlington's "Change the name every year" Stadium.

IF WE STAY IN LEAGUE 2

UNDERHILL

Capacity 5,500

One of the smallest grounds in the Football League and one of the least visually attractive. Facilities here wouldn't look out of place in the 60s or 70s and it's certain not one of my favourite grounds to visit. It's a ground that certainly wouldn't look out of place in the non-league and you could it would look out of place in the Conference, a division that is slowly filling up with nice, brand new stadiums.

The stadium is also set on a hill which makes viewing the game very awkward. If you stand at the further point of the away end to the turnstiles, your head will be level with the shoulder of someone who is stood at the other end of the terrace. Your also very likely to be verbally abused all match from the 200 or so chavs that are stood just 5 metres to the left.

Overall, Barnet isn't the best place to watch football in the world, and I certainly don't want to go there again next season if I can avoid it.
