Imps get another Carling Cup derby.

Lincoln City face yet another local derby in the first round of the Carling Cup as the Imps pay their first ever visit to Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium. This is the 3rd local derby in 4 years that the Imps have drawn in the first round, following on from Derby County and Scunthorpe United. It's one of the most intriging ties in the first round this year.

The last time City and Donny faced each other in competitive competition was in September 2004 when the teams met in the first round of the LDV Vans Trophy. Doncaster won 1-0 that night from one of their few shots on target.

They moved into their new Keepmoat Stadium last season and it will be City's first visit there. City's last trip to Doncaster saw City put in a professional performance against eventual Champions Doncaster with a 2-0 scoreline thanks to a Tim Ryan own goal and a Gary Fletcher (as he was known then) overhead kick.

The game will be played in the week commencing August 13th.
