Jackson describes Adrian as "immature"

Lincoln City’s Adrian Patulea has landed himself in hot water with Peter Jackson after comments made just after City’s draw with Chesterfield on Tuesday night. Jackson seems less than impressed with Patulea after the Romanian commented that he now believe he had played his final game for the Imps on Tuesday night.
Patulea, City's leading goalscorer after putting the ball into the net for an eleventh time at Chesterfield, admitted that he felt that his City career was over after going off injured ten minutes from time. The Romanian has found himself in the first team again after three months on the sidelines. This prompted many fans to speculate that Jackson didn't want to keep Patulea, including RUMOURS that he was offered as little as £200 per week, an earning less than the average Conference North/South player.
He said after going off at Chesterfield that he believed he had played his last game for City, but Peter Jackson moved quickly to dispel the rumours, even going as far as calling the Romanian immature.
"We will be sitting down to discuss things with Adi, he's done really well and has a good goalscoring record," he told the BBC. "I don't know why he made that comment. "For him to say that was probably a little bit immature after the event, he was perhaps upset that he could miss the rest of the season and, if we get to them, the play-offs as well."
It now appears that Patulea has done his chances of a new contract more harm than good, but the news that things appear to be getting discussed in a few weeks.

As English isn't Adrian's first language it isn't surprising that comments can be misinterpreted.
Maybe best if everyone left the situation alone and waits for some factual developments.
Elding was slated on some Crewe newsrooms, with headlines claiming he wanted away. If you look at the interview it was taken from he must have been asked 6 different times if he wanted to stay at Lincoln and whether he liked it here. At no point did he say I want to leave Crewe, all he said was that he would be happy to come here and didn't know what Crewe were planning as he hadn't heard from them. Now he is back at Crewe he is saying he is there to play for them and hopes to help them survive. The same nice statements about Lincoln and Crewe have just been twisted to make a story out of nothing.
As for Patulea, he was asked about applauding the fans when he came off and his reply was that he was sad that maybe it is his last game for the fans, but then he also said in the same sentence that maybe he will play for them again in the future. Jacko's response was that saying it may have been his last game was 'maybe a little bit immature', (he didn't call Patulea immature) and to be fair, the people that Pat needs to appeal to about his contract are the management team, not the fans or the Press.
I just think that in the end these attempts by the Press to make a story out of nothing just end up making everyone look silly.

I agree. However, it's not the press who are at fault - they print "non stories" because they know that enough people will lap it up without rubbing a couple of brain cells together and come and post their "thoughts" on Message Boards.
LCFC get good coverage from the Echo - possibly too good. They have a lot of space to fill and to be quite honest I'm not sure as a club enough things of interest happen for them to fill their space. Hence the appearance of non stories.
