Simon Weaver has finally got a promotion next to his name, helping Ilkeston Town to a Playoff Final victory. The popular defender played for the Imps between 2002 and 2004, scoring some vital goals, including the first ever goal that the Imps ever scored in the Playoffs.
Weaver's Ilkeston beat Kendal Town 4-3 after extra time to send Ilkeston to Playoff nirvana, promoting them to a place in the 2nd tier of English non-League football, whether they go into the North or South is still to be decided due to their geographical location in the middle of the country.
Simon was certainly no stranger to Playoff football, having made the end of season lottery twice whilst at Sincil Bank before slipping into non-League football. He has subsequently had spells at Scarborough, Boston, Redditch and now Ilkeston.

You say that but we all know the FA don't think like that. There have been a few incidents of Forest being put in the Northern draws for cups and County in the South, that despite County being further north.
Think he did Posh before he went to Northwich wasn't it?
Intrestingly their joint managers have quit and gone to Boston!
The joint managers being Rob Scott and Paul Hurst.
