Bridlington friendly cancelled

City's pre-season plans have been disrupted by the news that the friendly at Bridlington has been cancelled. City were scheduled to travel to the coast three weeks before the end of the season.

The reason for the cancellation has yet to be revealed, but it now means that City have just two away friendlies arranged, at Goole and Boston United. Although Gainsborough have also invited City to a friendly at the Northolme, the fans of the Imps still can't make any solid plans for their pre-season.

One thing that can't be anticipated is a game against Lincoln United as the clubs have yet again fell out. United still blame for the Imps for their relegation just over 12 months ago, apparantly blaming the fact City's reserves played on their pitch, ruining it. From United's view, that is why they finished bottom of the Unibond Premier Division and also only won two from twenty-one home games that season. Their home form hasn't been much better recently, losing 4-1 and 4-0 on their own "un-IMPacted" surface.

Four home fixtures have been announced, Sleaford Town visiting for community day, as well as Arsenal, Sheffield United and Ferencvaros all making the trip to Lincoln.
