Lincoln are off to AFC Telford

Lincoln City will face AFC Telford United for the first time after the Bucks destroyed Blyth Spartans. AFC Telford United were formed after the previous incarnation (Telford United) went out of business in 2004 and won't be an easy opponent for the Imps.
City did face the previous incarnation of a side with the name Telford in 2003/4, beating them 3-1 in the LDV Vans Trophy at Sincil Bank, that came in the middle of a run of seven straight home wins in all competitions (something we could only dream of these days as we struggle to win seven home games a season).
They will now face the Imps in the 1st Round of the FA Cup after destroying Blyth Spartans in the final qualifying round, beating last season's giant-killers by a scoreline of 4-0.
Telford do have one good omen in their line-up. Iseyden Christie not only has a half-decent scoring record against City, but scored the goal that put Kettering through against the Imps last season.
The game is scheduled to take place on November 7th.

We also lost in the first round in 1984 Vs Telford Utd - they drew 1-1 at the Bank on Saturday 17th November and won the replay at Bucks Head the following Tuesday (20th) by 2-1.

Nathan, about Iseyden Christie he dont play for telford anymoore.
He most recently signed for Farnborough of the Southern Football League Premier Division. saw that news in sunday non-league paper.

Wouldn't it be nice if Telford's player profile section updated to show the Christie doesn't play for them anymore?

Our season is not going so well at the moment, but a brilliant performance was pulled out of the hat last night, im sure it will be a great game for both sides.
How many do you think you'll bring to the Bucks Head?
Oh and regrettably you'll not be allowed into either of the Stadiums bars, the LC and the Dugout, but there are a lot of pubs nearby that you will be welcomed in by many bucks fans.

We usually have a decent following in away FA Cup trips, but it is a fair old distances. I'd say somewhere between 400-500, but not much more.
How far is the train station from the ground? I fancy make the trip via the train.

400 - 500 would be an impressive following about the same Southend brought to us last year.
The train station is about a 10 minute walk from the ground, with many pubs on the way.
To reach the ground from the station, go out on to the road behind the station where the car park is, turn right up the road and follow it up past the college, turn left at the top and walk straight down, you'll reach the traffic lights with the Swan pub on the left ( does a nice carvery ) and the Cock hotel on the right ( real ale pub, will be full of bucks ) and the ground will be directly ahead of you.

I listened to the game via the net and it sounded like you played very well in the 2nd half.
Sounded like your man Brown scored two very good goals towards the end.
What on earth happened after you went 2 up?
All sounded rather bizarre around the dugouts and people getting sent off.
I take you are part time and not full time?
Think this will be a very tough game for us.
We will have to be a lot more positive going forward than we have been of late if we are to get through.
EDIT: I miss the word not out the sentence asking about whether you are part time or full time! OOPS!!!

We finally got back to our usual style, solid defence in the first half and grinded them down, rewarded with a lovely goal from blakeman, the second half we came out guns blazing and played them off the park, Browns second was a beauty, half volley from 25 yards out.

wow some really quality goals there, how many home fans can we expect 1500? 2000? should be a decent crowd.

I'd be dissapointed with anything less than 2000 home fans, saying that i think the club are expecting a total crowd of 2500 - 3000

Just to mention, I think Liam missed it, if you go by train make sure you go to Wellington Station and not Telford.
