Imps visit Yeovil

The Imps prepare to travel to a place where the Imps have never played, against a team that are totally unfamiliar to the Imps. The Imps travel, to inform Yeovil Town.

  • The Imps travel to Yeovil on Saturday for the first ever meeting between the two clubs in any competition. The Imps go into the game on an extremely good run which has seen them lose only once since the end of August. However, this game at Huish Park will probably be City's toughest test to date.
  • TEAM NEWS FOR THE IMPS
  • The Imps welcome back influencial right back, Mark Bailey. Bailey has been out of action following a hernia operation and got through the entire game on Tuesday night where the Imps lost a friendly game against Grimsby.
  • City's most recent form has seen them rise to the top of the home form tables, in fact, City haven't lost in any competition at home since the first week of the season which is the best record in the country. City have also won their last 7 home games. However, this game is away and things haven't been as fruitful on the road. CIty's away wins have come at Southend (2-0), Kiddy (2-1) and Scunny (3-1).
  • YEOVIL
  • The men from Huish Park are making a very big impact on the Division 3 stage. They currently lay 5th in the table and even if the Imps win, they still won't over take them. Yeovil hadn't drawn a game until last week when they helped knock Hull of top spot. Yeovil's home form has been excellent, the only losses have been against Northampton and Torquay (both 2-0)
  • LAST TIME
  • THE CHANCES OF AN IMPS WIN
  • Erm, I aint even sure how to predict this one to be honest. If I had seen Yeovil play in the past then this would have been a much longer review. Whether the Imps can maintain their great form is a big question. However, I predict Yeovil will end City's excellent form and win 2-1.
