Other results help as rain cancels match

12 hours of rain resulted in the Imps home game against Cheltenham being called off at 1pm, however, other results in the Division mean that City remain 8th and have games in hand over everyone else in the promotion picture.
After the game was called off 1pm, CIty fans were on the look out for other results and they were generally quite good.
Yeovil defeated Scunthorpe 2-1 to make sure the Imps maintain a 3 point lead over their nearest challengers for the Imps place in the league.
Mansfield became only the 3rd ever side to win at Hull's new ground in a league game when Liam Lawrence scored with 10 minutes to go.
The biggest shock of the day, came at Brunton Park where 1 win Carlisle, beat Torquay 2-0.
Huddersfield could also only manage a 1-1 draw with Oxford.
So results went quite well for City. The top 5 though appear to be pulling away although Hull, are only 7 points ahead of the Imps with City having 2 games in hand. City now face 2 games at the weekend which both look winnable, so you never know, by the time the Imps finally get their game in hand, they could be challenging to make that group of 5, a group of 6.
