Paul Groves set to sign?

It is rumoured that returning City boss, Keith Alexander is about to add a suprise addition to his side to fix the dreadful home form the Imps. Paul Groves was sacked by Grimsby today as player manager but Keith could be about to snap him up as player/coach.

After yesterday's 6-0 defeat at Oldham, Grimsby found themselves one place above Division 2's relegation zone and after finishing bottom of Division 1 last season, the Mariner's board have made it clear they don't want a similar incident.

Groves had played over 450 games for the North East Lincolnshire side and it is well known that him and Keith are good friends.

If he did sign for City, he'd be a good signing but probably wouldn't be more than a bench player.
