The Imps have been boosted by the news that Richard Butcher is planning to be back 5 weeks ahead of schedule and back in time for the away trip at Macclesfield on March 2nd.
It was initially feared that Butcher would be out until mid-april but the popular midfielder has revealed he is a quick healer and is aiming to be back for the trip to Macclesfield in 3 weeks.
"At the moment I'm going in for treatment and all I can do is press-ups and sit-ups. It's boring, but at least I'll have a good body for the beach in the summer!"
Butcher is one of the Imps players currently suffering from bad injuries, none worse than Chris Cornelly who won't be back this season. Paul Smith was forced to retire a few weeks ago due to nerve damage in his back.
