Ex-Imps midfielder was at Sincil Bank on Thursday signing the cancellation forms of his contract and saying goodbye to some old friends.

Smith was forced to retire a few weeks ago but is already looking ahead to the future.

He's currently looking after his son, Joshua whilst he is waiting for a responce from Salford University for a course of Sports Science and Physiotherapy and his wife is currently providing all the income.

However, it the application to the university fails, "Smudge" has a degree in engineering to fall back on.

Whatever the future holds for Smudge, us here as theimps.tk wish Paul good luck for the future.
