Imps chase Iron Defender

Keith Alexander is set to make his first signing of the summer and it could very well be coming from just up the road in Scunthorpe as the Imps look to replace the now departed Mark Bailey with right back, Nathan Stanton.

The Scunthorpe defender is very highly rated defender by the Scunthorpe fans and the Imps are set to sign a 4th player from Scunthorpe in only a few years after the signings of Justin Walker, Richard Logan and Jamie McCombe.

Stanton has only scored once in his Scunthorpe career and that came in the 5-3 playoff defeat to the Imps last year to make the score 3-3 at the time.

Where Stanton becomes a Imps player is a 50/50 chance though as the Imps might struggle to meet his wages but Scunny are a team on the slide and a player would relish a chance to switch sides at this stage of their career in that situation.
