Imps' defender, Jamie McCombe has agreed to stay at the Imps after taking a month to decide upon the new contract making him the 6th and final to person to have agreed to stay at the Imps.
McCombe joined the Imps in March after a very long transfer sage/farce where Brian Laws refused to let him join the Imps. After legal action, McCombe finally joined the Imps and has made numerous impressive performances and even managed to oust "legend" Simon Weaver from his position (although Weaver was almost ever present up until that for the 2 seasons and had trained all pre-season so was nackered).
McCombe joins fellow out of contract players, Simon Yeo, Marcus Richardson, Matthew Bloomer, Simon Weaver, Chris Cornelly and Adam Kerley who have all pledged their immediate futures to the Imps.
So now the Imps can finally rebuild and push for another good season. Firstly we definatly need a backup keeper as now we only have 1 professional keeper at the club. The defence is fine although a new right back to replace might Bailey and possibly a left back to cover the position if the regular player gets injured. Midfield definatly needs strengthing so hopefully that'll come first and maybe with 1 new striker, the Imps can finally win promotion to the Coca COla League Division 1.
