givemefootball.com has provided an interview with Imps boss Keith Alexander and reveal he is determined to final gain promotion from this Division/League and describe his reign at Sincil Bank as a revelation.

Since Alexander came, City have had two failed playoff seasons after years of struggles. The first resulted in an unbelieveable, Cinderella season as City showed that even the most unlikely of teams can still go places. However, it was to end in heartbreak as one Boston fan predicted earlier that season in a rather coincidently loss in the playoff final just like he had predicted. Last season, the Imps went into the playoffs but lost 4-3 on aggregate to Huddersfield in the semi finals.

Alexander is now more determined than ever to finally bring the success bank to Sincil Bank and rank alongside managerial Imps legends, Graham Taylor and Colin Murphy, however, Keith realises it's not going to be easy."

"I need to bring bodies in, but we're a decent side now and we need players who cane come in and do a job, so it's not going to be easy, We need to be a better side than we have been in the past two seasons. In the first season I took over I said that the players could have six bad games. Last season it was four and this time it will be two. I need players who can come in and perform if others aren't playing as well as they should be. We have still got two weeks till we start, so I do have time to sort it out."

That makes fans optimistic as now they know that an unacceptable performance will mean harsh chances, notice the word TWO near the words, poor performances. Last season, the Imps had a lot of bad performances, especially in the home games against Leyton Orient, Torquay, Oxford and Southend United aswell as the away games at Hull, Southend (FA CUP), Yeovil, Cheltenham, Torquay etc. This is not acceptable and if we have more than those 2 poor performances, we are unlikely to reach the playoffs again as no teams really stand out this season.

The interview also focuses on Paul Morgan who many believe, was the reason City went out of the playoffs at the semi final stage and it's no coincedence that he missed the final 5 games, City didn't win any of those and conceded a rather embarrasing 11 goals in those 5 games which is practically unheard of these days for Lincoln.

"We're very focused and we want to do better than the play-offs as we have failed in them twice now," he said.
