Lincoln City has loaned exciting West Ham striker, Greg Pearson after the 19 year old grabbed a hatrick in a reserve game against Notts County and is expected to go straight into the side for the local derby against Scunthorpe.

Pearson, rated as one of the brightest prospects for the future in any league, has joined the Imps initially for a month. Keith tried to get him permanently but West Ham were very reluctant to let him go.

"I've known about him for a while and spoke to Alan Pardew as I knew the lad was going to Darlington for a trial to see if we could get him to come here. He did well in the reserves and looks to have a bit of something we're lacking."

Keith also praised the skills of the teenager after the reserve game calling him better than any other player we currently have.

"It's always nice to get better players in"

West Ham often loan out strikers to great effect. Jermaine Defoe's loan spell at Bournemouth resulted in a 25 goal season as well as setting a divisional record for most consecutive home games scored in, hopefully Pearson can do the same here.
