Hull defender, Nathan Peat is about to extend his 3 month loan until the end of the season. After impressing almost everyone at Sincil Bank, he has established a well earned first team place which Hull see as being vital in the player's development.

Peat's 3 month loan from League 1 side, Hull CIty is due to expire soon and Keith is keen to keep him until the end of the season after the 22 year old has impressed a lot in his short time at Sincil Bank.

With Peter Taylor away on duty with the England Under 21's, Colin Murphy has been left in charge at Hull and is keen to let Peat gain some first team experience. Peat, who has been at Hull longer than any other player currently at the KC, hasn't been able to establish a first team place and has only ever played one game. I was believed that he would get his chance last season before they signed impressive Scunthorpe defender, Andy Dawson.

"I spoke with Keith yesterday to examine what would be best for all the parties concerned," said the ex-Imps boss. "We currently have Andy Dawson at left-back, and have good cover. It's important Nathan keeps playing, and the experience he will gain at Lincoln will enhance his development."

It is believed that if the loan is made until the end of the season, it could become permanent as the defender's contract at Hull is up in the summer and chances are they won't keep him.

"If everyone is as happy at the end of the season - as they are after three months - with the way things have gone, then it will have been a good move for all of us."

Peat missed his first game against Kidderminster since the 2-1 defeat at home to Notts County after Keith judged he needed a rest.
