Gain injured after Cheltenham game

Imps midfielder, Peter Gain could possibly miss the rest of the season after being injured in Saturday's goalless draw with Cheltenham Town. The strained medial ligaments could see Gain out from anywhere to a few weeks to a few months.
Gain, who is arguably the best player the Imps have is set to undergo a scan in a few days to find out the extent of the damage however the Imps could soon have a mini injury crisis on their hands.
The Imps only had a small midfield anyway with only 3 actual midfielders in the whole squad which should see Cairan Toner have a small run in the side if he gets through the reserves game with Doncaster without a knock. Otherwise it's more than likely Keith will dip ito the transfer market yet again.
Gain joins Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Jamie McCombe on the first team injury list and all 3 are almost certain to miss Saturday's trip to Wycombe.
