The days of administration now seem a million miles away after the club made a massive profit of £735,000 for the year ending July 2004. This comes as a major increase on a profit of £205,000 for the previous year.

The club, thanks to increased gates, another playoff campaign as well as several commerial and sponsorship ventures has made just shy of £1,000,000 in just under a year and it goes as a massive credit to chairman Rob Bradley and the board of directors who have turned this club around which was less than 24 hours away from extinction 2 and a half years ago as the club were losing more than £10,000 going into the summer period. After being saved at the last minute, City have since gone on to two failed playoff attempts and numerous attendances exceeding the 5,000 mark.

The BBC reported the profit as part of several special reports into clubs finances, if you want to read the full article, click here
