Ciaran Toner has secured a loan move to League 2 relegation threatened crisis club, Cambridge United. The midfielder, who hasn't played for 5 weeks due to being suspended by the club, will now be looking for to put in similar performances that he put in for City to secure a permanent move.

Toner joined the Imps after being released from Leyton Orient during the summer and initially struggled to get a first team slot but came into the squad when Peter Gain got injured. His performances proved a breath of fresh air and City immediatly benefitted to go up the table. However, the incident with Marcus Richardson saw the players suspended. Toner was injured from the incident so couldn't go out on loan before now but hopefully he can help Cambridge survive from relegation this season, both on and off the pitch.
