Biblical Futcher should expect it all

Recently departed defender, Ben Futcher can expect a barrel of abuse judging by fans' reactions to his transfer to Boston. Futcher, has been labelled from many corners as "Judas" after the shock transfer to Boston United just 12 months after complaining he wasn't playing in a higher division.
Ben Futcher should expect a barrage of abuse when he returns to Sincil Bank with Boston United next season. That statement is made after reaction to his shock transfer to Boston yesterday, which has caused many fans to completely turn their backs on the defender and refer to him as Judas.
Out of the 3 players to reject the new contracts, Futcher was the biggest surprise, the fact that he left wasn't the surprise, rather the fact that 12 months ago, he complained because he wasn't playing in a higher division and placed himself on the transfer list. Now, 12 months later, despite his apparant ambition, he has moved to a side that have never finished higher, in any table that Lincoln.
Futcher's moved, as Keith says on the official site, shows a lack of ambition. The previous two leavers, Richard Butcher and Simon Yeo, both moved to sides in higher division which Lincoln fans can understand but many view Futcher's decision to knock himself down a few rungs on the football league positions ladders, is only made worse by the proverbial slap in the face that is moving to Boston United.
Boston United have had a habit of picking up old Lincoln players since they got into the league. Their first pick up came when Battersby was let go by Lincoln City before signing for Boston United and it's safe to say that his reception upon his return to Sincil Bank, wasn't nice. The next to switch sides was Dene Cropper, most Lincoln fans didn't really care about this transfer and many Boston fans thought the same just weeks after signing him. This season saw the most transfer activity between the two sides. Before the season started, Boston signed old Lincoln player, Jason Lee. Just 2 months into the season, Boston's Martin Carruthers and Lincoln's Dean West, switched colours before Boston United's Lee Beevers completed a transfer to Sincil Bank in February, just a few days after the Imps won 2-0 at York Street.
I'm going to completely honest now, I'm glad Futcher's gone. Outside of our own 18 yard box, he was useless, distribution was awful at the best of times, countless free kicks given away, countless yellow cards and then, after every foul that look of surprise that he was being penalised for virtually climbing on the opposition player. I'm not going to give Futcher any abuse when City play Boston but I get the feeling I'll be one of the few that doesn't.
