Many will view this suspension as getting off lightly after Paul Morgan's push on the referee at Chester. The referee had just awarded Chester a penalty and Paul Morgan, who gave away the penalty, immediatly got up, ran towards the ref and pushed him violently. He will now face a 3 match ban.
I'm going to be honest here but no matter how much the referee screws up a game
and no matter how many decisions he gives against you, nothing can justify Paul Morgan's reactions. He was understandably upset but there was no need to push the referee.
Morgan has been very lucky by only being given a 3 game suspension whereas it could have easily been a 13 game ban (10 for pushing the ref and 3 for the red card).
The suspension will start this Saturday against Notts County and Paul will also miss the visits of Oxford and Crewe.
