Big improvement on "Road To Cardiff"

We bring you our review of the new DVD which chronicles the first 2 months of the 2005/6 season that has just been released. The review is a vast improvement on the joke that was the "2002/3 Road to Cardiff" video and although it'll eventually be very pricey, is worth paying out for.

Well the Imps have released the first part of the season review for the current season and to be fair, £14.95 does seem a little steep for what is a fairly average production but it is still a vast improvement on the joke of a season review that reviewed the 2002/3 season.

One thing that will more than likely put the fans off buying this DVD, is that it only covers 12 league games and if you add together the total of all 5 that will be coming out, you get to around £100, something that is WAY too expensive for a season review in a season that the chances are that we won't do anything.

There are obviously significant improvements on the 2002/3 : Road to Cardiff video, the main one being that the clips weren't shot with a handheld camera and that it actually shows all the games and not just the ones where the producers has been to.

One of the most enjoyable parts about the DVD, is that it brings back some memories from games that you'd forgotten about, such as several disallowed goals which "World" didn't cover and although the view of the action at the home games isn't fantastic, you still get a fairly good view of all the action.

The DVD covers all the wins of the season so far, Oxford, Crewe, Wrexham and Stockport and also has clips from the exciting match against Fulham in the Carling Cup.

As far as extras are concerned, there isn't a lot on offer. A quick 2 or 3 minute interview with both Keith Alexander and Dean Keates, a 8 or so minute Q&A session with Scott Kerr and the 5 best goals that City have scored so far this season.

Overall, the DVD is worth a buy if you're a Lincoln fan but the club is still asking a bit much for a season review, especially seeing as it looks as though we're not going to finish in the top half this season but this is a definatly improvement on certain videos/dvds brought out before.
